YOU’RE HOME WHEN YOU’RE HERE
As with any home, we ask that you take your shoes off.
As your not-so-average-home, we ask that you swap them for some skates and roll into some fun.
WHAT HAPPENED? THE REPAIR, REOPENING, AND HOW WE KEEP ON ROLLING…
Late spring storms shook southeastern Michigan on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. The resulting wind damage took with it our original, dome-shaped rooftop. In the words of our owners, the ceiling opened up “like a tuna can”. In just minutes, the rink’s roof was torn off, with heavy rain damaging our hand-laid maple skating floor and all surrounding carpet.
Throughout that summer and fall, rink repair was well underway. The Rolladium family truly appreciates our valued customers and community members. Whether you had stopped by to check out repair progress, offered your help, left a kind comment, or have even given us some positive thoughts, we are sincerely grateful for each and every one of you.
After many months of repair, we’re happy to say that it’s once again time to get rolling. 🛼
Our snack bar is a place to enjoy refreshments and recharge during your favorite session.
Parents especially find it a relaxing place to unwind, enjoying good food, free Wi-fi, and TV.
We invite your family to come in and check out our snack bar specialties!

Rolladium has been the heart of Friday and Saturday evenings throughout the decades. Late-night skates were a common attraction in the fifties and sixties with skaters often staying until 2 AM. Many of our regulars have grown up at the building through the years. We love seeing families together, children and teens bringing friends in, and people returning to throw on some skates for the first time in years.
Kurt Anselmi made skating at Rolladium possible and contributed greatly to the sport of Artistic Roller Skating.
Rolladium has been a part of Waterford’s community and owned and operated by the Anselmi family since opening in 1950.
