Roller Skating takes practice, but soon after you get used to the feeling of having wheels on your feet, it is time to learn how to fall.
Falling: Falling is part of learning to skate, and fortunately, it usually spooks you much more than it actually hurts you. But there are right and wrong ways to fall. As humans, our natural reaction when falling is to stiffen up, however this is something you want to fight against as a skater. When skaters become stiff and shoot their arms out straight in front to break a fall, that is when most wrist/arm injuries occur. It is better to loosen up, bend your knees to get as close to the ground as possible and just let a fall happen (if you can control where you fall, always aim for your bottom).
